This mini-review summarized the recent progress in the conceptual design of polymer–ceramic hybrid antifouling coatings, and how stereoscopic polysiloxanes affect the mechanical and antifouling properties of the final coatings.
Four quinoxaline-based polymer donors with asymmetric aromatic side chain, TPQ-0F, TPQ-1F, TPQ-1Fi, and TPQ-2F were designed and synthesized. The binary OSC based on TPQ-2F and Y6 achieved an efficient PCE of 16.27 %, which was attributed to balanced hole/electron mobilities, less charge carrier recombination, better excitondissociation and charge transport, and more favorable morphology.
A flexible polyethylene oxide (PEO)are introduced as the supramolecular matrix to obtain a series of polydiarylfluorenes electrospun hybrid microfibers toward the highly sensitive for detecting explosives, associated with the synergistic effect of β-conformation formation, high deep-blue emission efficiency and surface morphology of ES fibers.
Two near-infrared absorbing copolymers were designed and synthesized by using ladder-type heteroheptacene-cored small-molecule acceptors as the key building blocks and thiophene as the co-monomer. All-polymer solar cells based on these polymer acceptors yield a best power conversion efficiency of 9.12%.
A waterborne emulsion binder with multiple crosslinked structure was prepared by emulsion polymerization, which has rich polar functional groups, high adhesion and excellent resilience. Therefore, the Li-S battery prepared by the binder had high initial capacity and excellent stability.
This work presents a design idea of a wearable flexible strain sensor with superhydrophobicity for human motion monitoring. The sensor can maintain its excellent sensing performance even in extremely humid environments.
We successfully synthesize a reactive compatibilizer C-PPC with side double bond via terpolymerization of CO2/PO/GMA to improve the compatibility between PBAT and PPC. The water vapor and oxygen barrier properties of PBAT/PPC blends were improved by 51.9% and 33.5% respectively. Moreover, the mechanical properties have also been greatly improved.
This work described a novel IL-2-loaded polypeptide nanomedicine (P-IL-2) with a 3.15-fold longer circulation time than IL-2 and a ROS-responsive drug release capability. P-IL-2 promotes the proliferation of CD8+ T cells continuously and activates anti-tumor immune response, resulting in better anti-tumor effect in combination with anti-CTLA-4.
Furan-based NIPUs have been synthesized starting from CO2 and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural, and further exploited as the second component for PPC blends, which allows for the preparation of high-performance CO2-based biodegradable polymeric materials with low carbon footprint, good sustainability, and ideal biocompatibility.
Hot stretching is conducive to the crystal perfection of PGA fiber, single low-temperature stretching can be divided into three stages: the stretching of amorphous regions, stretch-induced crystallization and the stretching of crystalline regions. High-temperature stretching compared with low-temperature stretching is more favorable for crystal perfection and structural evolution.
In the present work, PGA films with simultaneously enhanced strength, ductility and heat resistance are achieved via “casting-stretching-annealing” technology. The reinforced chain entanglement network of PGA induced by the intense extensional stress and the highly oriented crystals grown and refined during the stretching and annealing process endowed the improved ductility and strength of the PGA films, respectively.
H-bonds cross-linked polyethylene based on amide triazole ring-carboxylic acid units was prepared by reactive melt-blending. The multiple H-bonds with intrinsic reversibility can enhance the interchain interactions of polyethylene, imparting it with mechanical robustness, good creep and thermal resistance, and recyclability.
In this study, the SC exclusively developed rapidly when 2% graphite oxide incorporated into the PLLA/PDLA. The acceleration formation of SC was speculated due to the interaction between PLA molecular chains and the hydroxyl groups on the surface of graphite oxide and the obstruction of proliferation of graphite oxide.
An increase in the crystallinity of polymers and good dispersion resulted in a reduction of excluded volume and thus a reduction in the molecules permeation and an increase in the barrier properties.
A dual reactive compatibilizer was designed to compatibilize MVQ/PP blends. Under the GMA/MAH molar ratio of 0.5/1, the interface thickness largely increases, the average size of MVQ dispersed phase largely decreases, and the mechanical properties of the blend are increased, all indicating its good compatibilization effect.
In this work, the fast electrically detaching behavior (100% detaching efficiency in just 1 min) of epoxy-based ionic conductive adhesives (ICAs) with ultra-high initial bonding strength (>12 MPa) is represented and the electrically detaching mechanism is clarified.
