The reduced first cumulant [Γ*=Γ(q)/(q3kBT/η0)] for cluster dose not display an asymptotic behaviour, which differs from previously reported behavior of individual chain systems with low polydispersity feature.
This review focuses on the technical challenges and rational modular design for the flexible organic solar cells, from the aspects of functional material selection, printing process research status and large-scale efficiency losses. These will promote the integrated applications of printable organic semiconductor materials for next-generation clean energy and wearable electronics.
Functionalized hyperbranched aliphatic polyesters have a spatially unloaded core (ethoxylated pentaerythritol, orange color) and a shell of branched dendrons (monomer 2,2-dihydroxypropanoic acid, yellow color), in which terminal oxygen-, nitrogen-, silicon-, sulfur- and organophosphorus functional fragments are predominantly located in the surface layer (red color).
Three unfused-ring acceptors, named DTBTzEH-IC2F, DTBTzMe-IC2F and DTBTzMe-IC2Cl, were designed and synthesized by changing length of alkyl chain on Dithienobenzotriazole (DTBTz) unit and halogen-substitution atoms of cyanoindenone terminal groups. The rigid aromatic ring DTBTz as an intermediate core effectively results in highly planar A-D-C-D-A small molecules. When blended with donor PBDB-T, the organic solar cell based on DTBTzMe-IC2Cl achieves the highest device efficiency of 12.3%.
This work shows the effect of solvent additives and fullerene third components on the film morphology of organic solar cells and points to the importance of the balance between material crystallization and phase separation.
The nanomechanical properties of a loop-protected metallo-supramolecular polymer was unambiguously investigated by using AFM-based single molecule force spectroscopy.
The formation of different polypeptide self-assembly structures including vesicles and micelles is due to their different side-group hydrophilicity, and their self-assembly mechanisms are identified from the molecular level. These findings can be useful to understand how the hydrophilicity of the side chains of polypeptides to control their self-assembling behavior.
A detailed study of the nucleation in melts with different entanglements is performed using MD simulation. Then we propose a theoretical approach to quantitatively account for the role of entanglement in the nucleation of polymer melts.
Thermal expansion behavior of polyimide films, derived from PMDA/ODA with different thickness, was significantly affected by aggregation structures. It is primarily dependent on molecular chain orientation and packing along in-plane or out-of-plane directions. It is revealed that thermal expansion of 5 μm film may be largely influenced by chain packing.
A new kinetics equation is proposed to quantitatively describe the two-step mechanism of stress relaxation in Nylon 1010, which consists of stress biased Eyring-like local activation at short time scale and a cooperative excitation process with the excitation size proportional to the reciprocal of stress at long time scale.
Under the driving of the tangential active force, the semiflexible polymer translocates through the narrow pore in a railway motion manner, resulting that the translocation time is independent of the rigidity of the polymer but is proportional to the polymer length and the reciprocal of the active force.
The vesicles suspended in the confined Poiseuille flow possess the unsteady rolling with unfixed axes and varying lateral excursions, which permits vesicles to avoid the constant deformation. The dependence of rolling velocity on the confinements and shear rates is elucidated, contributing to understand the transport dynamics in the microenvironment.
Biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films were prepared by sheet casting and biaxial stretching. The relationship between morphology, structure and electric breakdown strength (Eb) of PP sheet and BOPP film was studied. The Eb of BOPP film could be improved by controlling the chill roll temperature and heat setting time.
The relationship between reversible plasticity shape memory performance of SEBS/crystallizable paraffin and its microstructure was systematically established.
