Nonreciprocal chiroptical response
a phenomenon arising from light-matter interaction by the coupling of linear optical effects
attracts rapidly increasing attention to advance fundamental chiroptical theory and develop high-performance optical devices. Herein
we fabricated a chiral polyurethane system with tunable apparent all-angle nonreciprocal chiroptical response
where can be further controlled by modulating the content of doped small molecules within the polyurethane film. Building on these observations
we investigated the origins of the angle-dependence and nonreciprocal chiroptical responses
and proposed a plausible mechanism to explain the emergence of this apparent circular dichroism (CD) signal. Furthermore
we utilized achiral helical polyacetylene to regulate the response wavelength. Our research establishes a clear relationship between polyurethane structure and apparent all-angle nonreciprocal chiroptical response
providing new insights into the connection between chiral materials and linear optical materials.
